Late February in Illinois is genuinely cold. Bring a coat you don't mind checking.
Parking downtown is free — surface lots and street parking all the way around the building. If you would rather not look for a space, the Center Street Parking Deck at 95 Symphony Way is free as well: the same street as the venue, one block down, directly across from the Elgin Police Department.
A short walk to the door, and the easy answer on a cold February night.
Nothing black tie, nothing casual.
And the request: we'd love to see you in any shade of blue. Powder, navy, teal, slate, whatever you already own. It's not a uniform — just a wish, and it'll look wonderful in the photographs.
Your being there is the real gift, and we mean that.
If you'd like to give something more, we're putting everything toward upgrades to our home — the projects we've been circling for a while, the ones that make it feel more like ours. A contribution to that fund would mean the world, and we'd think of you every time we finished one.

Gift cards
If you'd rather give something you can hand us, a gift card to anywhere that sells things for a house works just as well — it goes straight into the same projects.

October 31, 2026. We know that's early — four months ahead of the day — and it's deliberate. Closing the list in the fall lets us finalize seating and catering without a scramble over the holidays.
If something changes between then and February, just tell us. We'd much rather know than guess.
Absolutely. Children are warmly welcome, and a buffet makes feeding them easy — they can take exactly what they'll actually eat. Please add them by name on the RSVP so we can set a seat.
If your invitation includes a plus-one, add their name on the RSVP form. If you're not sure, say so in the note box at the bottom of the form and we'll come back to you — we'd rather you asked than wondered.
It means phones and cameras stay away for the ceremony itself. We'd rather see your faces than a row of screens, and our photographer will get everything.
Once we've walked back down the aisle, take all the photos you want.
Yes. Ceremony, dinner, and dancing all happen at The Haight. One address, one parking spot, one coat check.
An Italian buffet catered by Maggiano's Little Italy. It's a set menu served family-style buffet, so there's nothing to pick in advance — you'll just help yourself, and go back for more.
The full menu is further up this page. If you have an allergy or a dietary restriction, please tell us on the RSVP form and we'll make sure there's something good for you.
Doors open at 2:30, and that's when we'd love you there — it gives you time to park, check a coat, and find a seat without rushing. The ceremony starts at 3:00 sharp and we'd hate for you to miss it.
